Paradise - Arose from the ashes of the ghost town of Dick. (Sometimes fact is stranger fiction.)
Hell - has a uniquely Germanic origins... Maybe. Legend says when the original settlers stumbled across this parcel of land they uttered "So schön hell!" (translated as, "So beautifully bright!") (A lot more innocent than my mind could have come up with.)
