Snowflake Challenge #7

Challenge #7
In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a wishlist of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wishlist if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
I suspected that this was coming and even with the knowledge of my previous years of Snowflake participation… This is still extremely difficult!
Okay, let’s try:
1.) A song. Any genre and language. Dnw: cursing. Including the n word ending with an a. Soft curses are fine.
2.) A movie and/or television/anime series suggestion. Any language. Dnw Telanovela.
3.) A writing prompt. I am open to most things. Dnw fandom/pairing specific. So, nothing like Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Spike happily killing Edward and Bella
To fill my own list:
1.) Dan Vasc singing Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. This performance doesn’t have enough love. TBH, All of his covers are worth watching… except the very early ones. He was still finding his voice.
2.) Netflix: Ready, Set, Love: Thailand- Romantic Comedy - In a parallel universe, female newborns vastly outnumber their male counterparts due to an inexplicable pandemic. As men become rarer, they're hailed as "national treasures," and women must win their affections in a government-sponsored competition called "Ready, Set, Love."
3.) Tripping on air

Here goes:
1) Martina McBride's This One's For the Girls - it's peppy and sweet
2) Resident Alien - streaming on Netflix for seasons 1 & 2, Peacock for all 3. Season 4 is set to be on USA sometime this year. It's about an alien living in a small town who takes on the guise of the town doctor. The only person who can see him is a young boy, Max. Alan Tudyk plays the alien. It is a sweet funny comedy.
3) walking in the rain

I tried resident alien. I don't know why, but I got a headache every time I tried. I loved Alan in Dale and Tucker, so it bummed me out.
Let's see where that goes.

"This Wandering Day"
>> 2.) A movie and/or television/anime series suggestion. Any language. Dnw Telanovela. <<
The Dragon Prince -- not exactly anime but a very similar feel and breathtaking art.
>> 3.) A writing prompt. I am open to most things. Dnw fandom/pairing specific. So, nothing like Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Spike happily killing Edward and Bella <<
Okay, prompts that could work in any fandom...
* Character encounters a food completely alien to their culture that is quite popular in its own culture.
* Two characters sharing memories to comfort each other during hardship.
* Having to make a decision with not nearly enough information.

For a prompt: there were things that one expected to explode, and this wasn't one of them.

The movie sounds interesting.
Thank you for everything.

My legally-obligated "you should try watching Dungeon Meshi, if you haven't yet" applies here. It's an ongoing D&D-inspired fantasy anime with worldbuilding that well and truly scratches my brain. The characters are also fantastic.
Here's the plot synopsis from Netflix: "Dungeons, dragons... and delicious monster stew!? Adventurers foray into a cursed buried kingdom to save their friend, cooking up a storm along the way."

2) A Discovery of Witches. TV, fantasy/drama/romance. "Forbidden love blossoms between a witch and vampire after an ancient manuscript is uncovered, pitting them against supernatural forces vying for its coveted secrets." Available on Netflix & AMC.
3) we can't go back now

I haven't listened to a lot of his stuff, but I know of Dan Vasc through the Erik Grönwall pipeline. ;) You've probably heard of Erik the same way, if not, he's phenomenal too. Right now, everyone is talking about his cover of Oh Holy Night.

2. My Happy Marriage on Netflix. 12 episode anime about a girl who is forced into a marriage but discovers her groom wants nothing except her happiness and is woefully awkward about it. It's sweet and lovely!
3. "Oh. You... weren't supposed to be watching that."

I am on season 2 of My Happy Marriage. Now I am doing the wait game, again. Only now it's for season 2 and Sakamoto Days.
Thank you for the prompt.
